The Drumheller Cadets impressed their instructors on Sunday, June 11 during their review.

The Cadet's shared their knowledge of what they learned throughout the year and were able to showcase this in front of family, friends and Cadet members.

"I'm very impressed with how the Cadets have turned themselves out this year," stated Drew Proudler, Assistant Training Officer for the Drumheller Sea Cadets.

"I came through the Cadet Program myself. I'm only trying to give back to them what I got out of the program and help them realize their potential," he added.

The Drumheller Cadets attend two different summer training camps, which is part of where they learn their skills.

"There's summer training, which they go to different training facilities within the country. Two of the main ones that we go to from our core are HMCS Quadra, which is out on Vancouver Island, or HMCS Kingston, which is in Kingston, Ontario," explained Proudler.

So, why should someone join Sea Cadets?

"I would recommend them to join because they learn all kinds of stuff. They learn nautical terms, they learn dress, discipline, leadership, instructional technique (and) this is all stuff they can use in the real world."
