It's been a near 48 years since some Drumheller residents graduated high school from, what was then called, the Drumheller Composite High School and they're back to reunite.

On Saturday, September 16, those who graduated in the years from 1969 to 1975 will get together like old times.

"Registration will start at 4:00 p.m. (and) there will be a supper at 6:00. It's just going to be an evening of reacquainting with people and it's just going to be a fun time to get back together," stated reunion organizer Holly Guterson.

"It's good to see everybody. It's going to be good to see where life has taken them," she mentioned.

Guterson noted that there isn't a theme to the event, just a simple day to see old friends.

"We've married our kids off, we've gone through a million birthday parties and grandchildren parties. This is just an evening of coming out and having a good time with old friends," outlined Guterson.

Over the past 48 years, a lot has changed within the high school world.

"I was laughing about it with some friends last week. There was a dress code when we went to school that the girls had to wear dresses that weren't more than an inch above your knee and guys couldn't wear blue jeans, they had to wear proper pants," Guterson added.

Registration is needed for the reunion by August 25 and can be sent to Holly Guterson by email, [email protected].
