It's less than a week before the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce's Lunch and Learn series kicks off.
This series takes place on March 21 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Badlands Community Facility.
"We've sold a lot of tickets actually, but we're doing it at the BCF so we've definitely got space for more if anyone is interested. Tickets at just $15 and that includes your lunch and a really great speaker. If anyone is interested in that just contact the Chamber, we've got to have our registrations in by Friday (March 17) for the catering," explained Marley Henneigh, Chamber Services Coordinator.
The first Lunch and Learn series will have Mark Scholtz, President of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, coming to speak.
"We've sold 30-some, so quite a few, but we're definitely looking for more. He's going to be a great speaker (and) it will be interesting to hear him talk about their Oil Respect campaign," Henneigh noted.
"(I'm) hearing rumours and whispers of the oil patch picking up a bit, so I'm very interested in hearing what he has to say."
