Big Country Victim Services has some cool people looking out for them.

Koolz Kutz, downtown Drumheller, held a fundraiser on Tuesday, May 29 in support of Big Country Victim Services.

"We did a cut-a-thon," explained owner of Kool Kutz, Tracy Gendron. "Every haircut on Tuesday, we donated 100%."

The fundraising event was very well attended and featured more then just hair cuts.

"We had a massage therapist here that was doing massages for donations," Gendron continued. "As well, we did a silent auction and raffles."

The fundraiser fared well in accomplishing its goal in helping Big Country Victim Services.

"We raised $2,835.95," proclaimed Gendron. "I just want to thank everybody for supporting the fundraiser and making it a fun day.

Big Country Victim Services has helped 701 individuals over the last year with 258 of those cases in Drumheller, 97 in Hanna and 47 in Oyen.
