Yesterday's DrumFM Hockey Day was a smash hit. Over 250 community members made it out to the Memorial Arena in support of the 3rd Annual DrumFM Hockey Day in Drumheller powered by Tim Hortons.

Included in attendance were, of course, the Drumheller Dragons, the RCMP, Fire Department and members from EMS. But let's not forget the most important people who had the most fun at hockey day, the children!

Samantha Love, new local who experienced her first hockey day, said, "I really liked the turn out.  I love that there was a bunch of prizes for the kids.  I think is was really good to get the community involved. It was nice to see the kids as happy as they were, it was really great!"

She commented on the children in the skills competition, "They were so cute, doing well, falling down having a good time.  It was great to see the smile on their faces."

The children participated in outdoor shinny with two sets of nets, board games in the game room, speed and skills competitions on the ice, ate hotdogs and got to hang out with the Dragons.

Next years 4th Annual Hockey Day will be February 21st, 2019!

Thank you to everyone whom made it out!
