A tractor was, possibly, set a blaze by a electrical malfunction.

fire1Earlier today, Derrick Wilson experienced a tractor fire while cultivating in his field located near Highway 576 and Range Road 190.

Rosedale and Drumheller Fire Departments' were fast to act in managing and controlling the blaze.

Wilson said that when he was operating the field equipment, he noticed the smell of smoke. Quickly, he exited the vehicle as it began to erupt into flames.

No one was hurt and a stubble fire did not ensue during the incident.
