Spaghetti, and animals! That was the theme on Saturday at the Humane Society's Spay-ghetti Lunch!

"We have a silent auction, we have a photo booth, face painter, all kinds of fun activities to raise funds for animals in need," says Kelcy Travis, the President of the Drumheller and District Humane Society.

The Humane Society is always in need of things, so they always host events throughout the year, says Travis. "We always do fundraising, not only to raise funds for our vet bills, but to raise awareness, just so that people know that we are here."

Travis was pleased with the outcome of the Spay-ghetti Lunch and told 99.5 Drum FM that the event went well.

"It's been extremely busy, we didn't expect to run out of food, but we pretty much have. It's been really good, it's good for kids and adults."

If you would like to donate to the Humane Society, they are able to issue tax receipts. Visit their website at www.drumhellerhumane.com.
