Another Drumheller artist is on display at the Badlands Community Facility.
A show by Scott Christian entitled, simply, 'Log,' has taken over the Western GM Gallery at the BCF for the month of September.
"It's like a log of years of work I've been doing," he explained. "I've been doing that style of painting starting in the early 2000's and it really is a log of my marks, year after year, day after day, displayed all at once."
Christian graduated from the Alberta College of Art and has been exploring different painting styles in the intervening years.
"I did do a show a couple years ago where I included a variety of different styles of work that I had done (and) I had a lot of comments that it looked like a group show," he confessed. "This year I decided just to put together a single idea and do a series of work that all is in one style."
Christian's works will hang in the Western GM Gallery until September 30.
"I'm very thankful to Western GM for sponsoring it and to the Badlands Community (Facility)," he told 99.5 Drum FM. "In Calgary, you don't get the opportunity to get a single gallery often, just dealing with one or two pieces in group shows. (It's) something kind of unique to Drumheller."
