Mounties in Three Hills got their man, and woman, and someone in Delia got their bus back.

The Three Hills detachment received a call on Monday asking members to be on the lookout for a stolen school bus.

"It was called out of Delia," explained Sergeant Gabriel Graham. "They just sent off a request for us to watch for it: one of our members located it at a local gas station here in Three Hills."

"We caught two individuals and they were arrested and charged," he continued. "They were released for court date."

The suspects are a man and a woman. They are charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 in value, but we don't have any other information.

Sergeant Graham believes the accused thieves are from outside the local area.

"Pretty much all of them right now, it seems to be kind of a trend, travelling groups of thieves," he pointed out.

The stolen bus belongs to the Prairieland Regional School Division and services a route in Delia. It was returned to the rightful operator on Monday morning.
