It's going to be an exciting weekend in Hanna as the town holds their Fall Fair.
The fair started yesterday, August 10 and will end Saturday, August 12 with many family friendly activities such as face painting, arcade games, parade and a drive-in movie.
"There will be a few displays and such, people can wander through the property and there should be markers just giving some information about certain things on the property," stated Sandra Beaudoin, President of the Hanna Roundhouse Society.
"We have spent a bit more time in the property trimming trees and mowing stuff back. There was some debris that was removed that we finally got a chance to do, so there's a nice view over the CN Dam, but of course we could use some rain," noted Beaudoin.
Back in June of 2017, the Hanna Roundhouse was entered into a crowdfunding contest to help restore the historic building. Unfortunately, the Roundhouse didn't receive a crowdfunding grant, but they did get some money back.
"We received our money from the This Place Matters, so thank you to everybody that donated funds to our project. We received $24, 340 some dollars and that will go towards the roof repair, so we have a contractor lined up, but we just need to raise some more money for that," expressed Beaudoin.
