Football fans in Drumheller will get to see a playoff game at home this fall.

The Senior Titans scored with less than three minutes to play in the 4th Quarter on Saturday to beat the Canmore Wolverines 25-20 at DVSS Field.

"There were a lot of mistakes on both (teams) but it was a really good game," exclaimed Titans coach Jason Rasmussen afterwards. "A well fought game by both teams, good athletes on both sides of the ball; it was a really good football game."

The win sews up home field advantage when the two clubs meet again for the Big Sky League championship.

"We've got a bit of a crowd growing, a little bit more excitement brewing in Drumheller for football again, which is really nice to see," remarked Rasmussen. "It'll be nice to have that home crowd on our side when we play them again the third time this year for the league championship."

"We have one more league game against Olds: we can't look past them. After that, we play the Taber Rebels, who appear to be the strongest team in the south," he outlined. "That's on October 20, I believe, at home and that's going to be a big game. All roads to the provincial final will probably go through Taber."
