Your Drumheller Dragons were going for their sixth straight win on Tuesday as they faced off against the Olds Grizzlys at the Memorial Arena.

The last time these two teams met, in Olds, the Dragons had a come from behind victory to win 3-2.  The Grizzlys wanted to turn the table and they did just that.

The Dragons started the game with the majority of the chances.  The play was deep in the Olds end for the most part.  Drumheller opened the scoring on the power play when Brett Edwards scored his 16th of the season from Brayden Nicholetts and Markus Boguslavsky at 15:56.  Drumheller lead 1-0 after the first.

In the second, Olds would tie the game on a shot by Landon Johnson at 3:43.  Only 14 seconds later, the Grizzlys would take their first lead of the game on a goal by Hunter Floris.  The Dragons had their chances in the period but could not solve former Dragon goaltender Jay Thompson.  Olds would take a 2-1 lead into the intermission.

The third period was back and forth between these two teams.  The Dragons had their chances in the first half of the period but it took until the 10:09 mark, when Jordan Taupert scored his 13th on a nice shot, top shelf, from Brady Risk and Brett Edwards, to tie the game 2-2.  The Dragons would then take the lead on a power play goal by Markus Boguslavsky, with his 9th, from Brett Edwards and Eric Martin.  With 3:37 left in the game, Olds player, Lukas Jirousek would tie the game and send it to overtime.

In OT, it was a quick snapshot by Grizzly Lukas Jirousek only 54 seconds in to end the game and give Olds the victory.

With that, the Dragons winning streak ends at 5 games but Drumheller has points in 6 straight games.
