The regular season is in full swing for minor hockey clubs in the Drumheller Valley and surrounding areas.

The Mastel Midget Raptors took over the Memorial Arena on Friday as they hosted Cochrane; they beat the visitors 6-4 in their only game of the weekend.

The Boston Pizza-Western GM Bantam Raptors played Saturday in Drumheller and doubled up Stettler 6-3. They host Hanna next Saturday.

The NGC-Hiway 9 Peewee Raptors hosted Okotoks on Saturday and whipped the visitors 8-3. On Sunday, they travelled to Cochrane, where they won 7-3. The Peewees welcome Chestermere to the Memorial Arena on Saturday.

The Yavis Atom Raptors shaded Sylvan Lake 5-4 in a thriller on Sunday. Kneehill comes to town this Saturday.

The McDonald's Novice-A Raptors outscored Strathmore 9-7 on Saturday in Drumheller. They travelled to Chestermere on Sunday, where they lost 8-6. They host Canmore this coming Sunday.

The Canalta Novice-B Raptors hosted Sundre on Saturday and lost 5-2. On Sunday, they travelled to Bowden, where they fell 9-5. They are home to Olds this Saturday and visit Chestermere on Sunday.

The Encana Novice half-ice team played in Bassano on Saturday and hosted Beiseker on Sunday. They only play for fun so there are no scores to report. The half-ice Novice team hits the road next Saturday for Siksika and finish the weekend on Sunday in Standard.
