Your Drumheller Dragons traveled to Olds on Saturday night for their final road game of the 2018-2019 season.  The Grizzlys have not had a great year but the Dragons could not underestimate them.

Most of the games between these two teams this year have been competitive and Saturday's would be no different to start.  The Grizzlys would get on the board first when Noah Westgate scored at 5:24 to make it 1-0 Olds.  Drumheller would tie the game at 12:41 when Roc Truman would score his 24th of the year from Eric Martin.  The Dragons would get a powerplay at 14:43 and would make Olds pay for it just over 30 seconds later.  Jordan Taupert scored his 18th of the year from Shane Ott and Eric Martin.  Drumheller lead 2-1 after the first period.

The Dragons came out with fire in the second.  Shane Ott scored his 14th of the season from Derrick Budz and Brady Risk at 2:02.  The Dragons continued to pressure the Grizzlys with the majority of the play being in their zone throughout the second.  Drumheller would get their 4th goal with 2:58 left in the period when Kiano Robinson, who was playing as a forward in the game, scored his 4th of the year from Bradley Stonnell.  The Grizzlys would get one back before the end of the second as Adam Kolcon wrapped around from behind the net to get one past Daniel Allin to make it 4-2 Dragons after two periods.

Olds made things interesting in the early part of the third period.  Hunter Floris would score his 15th of the year at 8:02 to make it 4-3 Drumheller.  The Dragons would add to their lead six minutes later as Hassan Akl scored his 4th of the year from Eric Martin and Jordan Taupert.  Drumheller would put the nail in the coffin so to speak at 14:25 when Shane Ott scored his second of the game from Brady Risk and Derrick Budz.  The final would be 6-3 in favour of the Dragons.
