Your Drumheller Dragons continued their playoff series with Canmore Eagles on Friday night at the Memorial Arena.  Canmore won game one in overtime on Thursday and the Dragons needed to bounce back to even the series.

These two teams battled hard on Thursday and Friday was no different.  Drumheller came out strong in the first period and had the better of the scoring chances but could not get anything past Canmore goaltender Thomas Davis.  The Eagles pushed back later in the first period but Hunter Virostek would not let anything by him either.  The period would end tied 0-0

Drumheller would open the scoring in the second as Roc Truman would score his first of the playoffs from Markus Boguslavsky and a great set up pass by Hunter Virostek at 10:09.  Just after the Dragons killed off a penalty, Canmore would tie the game.  Taden Rattie scored on a set up by Alex Young and Colton Young.  Drumheller would retake the lead with 38 seconds left to go in the second when Roc Truman would score his second of the game from his brother Scout Truman.  Drumheller would go into the dressing room in the second intermission with a 2-1 lead.

The Dragons lead would be short-lived.  At 2:38 of the third, Canmore would tie the game when their captain Colton Young scored from Taden Rattie and Finn Withey.  Both teams would have chances but the game would remain tied and would need overtime for the second night in a row.

In the first overtime period, both teams would have chances as well as a power-play opportunity but both goalies put on a show.  After 80 minutes the game would remain tied.

In the second overtime, Drumheller would get a chance to end the game.  They had great pressure in the Canmore zone and the puck would end up on the stick of Brady Risk.  He would make no mistake and would score the game winner with assists from Derrick Budz and Shane Ott.  With the win, the Dragons tie the series at a game apiece.
