With the weather starting to warm up, outdoor sports enthusiasts are itching to get back at it.

Drumheller Minor Soccer held its final registration evening last week. President Mark Olbrich thinks they're looking pretty good.

"What we're looking for, especially, is under 13; we have a team there and we still have to fill some numbers out," he told 99.5 Drum FM.

Contact Mark Olbrich at 403-820-8269. The one thing beyond their control is the weather, especially after all the snow we got this spring.

"There's still a lot; it's still pretty covered over," Olbrich said of the soccer fields in the Hy-Grade Industrial Park. "It's going to put a squeeze on the season for sure, but it'll be fine."

"It dries out pretty quick: once the snow is gone, it usually takes about a week."
