November is Movember, or men's health awareness month, and the Drumheller Dragons are doing their part to raise money and awareness for the cause. Dragon shaveNaz Him gives Markus Boguslavsky a fresh start.
On November 1, the Dragons partnered with Naz Him and Bold Efexx to start with clean faces before they grow their Movember moustaches.
"They're kind of just doing their own thing and, honestly, I think just growing whatever they can grow at this point," remarked Dragons Business Manager Nicky Faye. "They can shave at the end of the month or they can just keep it going for however long they want."
In addition to bringing attention to men's health, the players are raising money for the Movember movement.
"We are going to try and raise as much money as we can for men's health: testicular cancer, prostate cancer, even men's mental health as well," Faye outlined. "We just think that's really important to bring that to the surface and show everybody that we do support that."
"You can go to our Movember Page,, search for the Drumheller Dragons and you can donate to the team as a whole or you can pick an individual player on the team to donate to specifically."
Currently, forward Markus Boguslavsky leads the Dragons fundraisers, with $420 pledged towards his moustache.
