The U16 Pure Venom team is out on the diamonds ready for another season.

The team is playing their second game of the season tonight (May 15) in Hanna.

This is the second time the teams are meeting, with the first meeting being on May 2, but the teams are a close match.

"We started off at about a 9-1 loss, but then we came back in the last inning, and we ended up losing 10-8," outfielder Savanna Richardson explained.

The first home game for the Pure Venom is May 23.

The other teams in the Drumheller Girls Softball Association are busy as well.

On May 16, the U14 Vipers will host Delburne at Newcastle Ball Diamond #3. The U14 Pure Venom will head up to Trochu to play Stettler on May 17.

The U12 Comets head up to Stettler on May 18, the same day will see the U12 Vipers take on Trochu.
