Our first Coffee With The Coach for 2019 was at Tim Hortons on Monday.  It was a nice break for the team over the Christmas and New Years break as the first game for your Dragons was on January 4th.  The first game was against our rivals, the first place Brooks Bandits.  It was a tough weekend as the Dragons would face the Bandits on Friday and Saturday.

Kevin Hasselberg and I discussed the play of the team against the Bandits this past weekend.

The Dragons have a busy week ahead of them as they travel to Calgary to take on the Calgary Canucks on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.  Kevin and I conversed about facing a team that is down in the standings but cannot be taken lightly.

With the trade deadline looming in the AJHL of January 10th, I asked Kevin if the Dragons will make any moves and if he thinks it will be a busy deadline in the league.

In our final break, Kevin and I talked about the team being involved in the community and how nice it is to have a great crowd like we had on Friday night.

The Dragons take to the ice against the Calgary Canucks in Calgary on Tuesday and then are home to the Bonnyville Pontiacs on Friday at the Memorial Arena.  Game time is at 7:30 pm and the Canada Games Torch Relay Torch will be at the game.
