Hanna RCMP have charged a couple of people in cases they have been investigating over the past number of months, yet both suspects remain at large.
On May 28, 2024, Hanna RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress at a rural residential property in the Garden Plain area, north of Hanna.
The investigation has led to a charge of breaking, entering and theft against 35-year-old Travis William Kowalchuk of no fixed address. Kowalchuk currently has warrants for his arrest for this break and enter. If you have knowledge about his whereabouts, please contact your local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
On July 10, 2023, Hanna RCMP initiated an investigation into an assault in which a grocery store employee was assaulted when they attempted to stop a female from shoplifting. Investigation has led to charges against 43-year-old Veronica Dawn Neuman.
Neuman currently has warrants for her arrest for this assault, as well as charges for theft as a result of a theft investigation from May 15, 2024, where it is alleged that Neuman took a bicycle from a property in Hanna.
It is believed that Neuman may be in the Hanna or Drumheller areas.
