Kids in costumes were everywhere in the Drumheller Valley as many were out to trick or treat.
From all accounts it was mostly treats, especially in Downtown Drumheller as a number of businesses participated once again in the Downtown Trick or Treating. Many businesses located on Centre Street and 3rd Avenue were handing out candy. Numerous businesses from outside the downtown core also participated, bringing candy and treats to the downtown for all the kids. Centre Street and 3rd Avenue were partially closed to make it safe for the kids and parents to trick or treat.
Jason Blanke from Drumheller Online spoke to a couple of the kids about their Halloween, including Tenley and Colby Peever.
Earlier in the day, the Drumheller Dragons had their own costume contest during their practice at the Memorial Arena. The costumes were fantastic with a few players winning prizes for their creativity. The team headed downtown to help with the downtown trick or treating, and also to help clean up after the event.
Many homes had trick or treaters stop by in the evening and depending on the neighbourhood, some homes were very busy handing out candy.
