Airdrie Rural RCMP is seeking assistance in identifying a robbery suspect and his associates.
On Oct. 2, 2024, at 3:42 p.m., an attempted armed robbery occurred at Cross Iron Mills Mall, near entrance 3. A male suspect, along with two female associates, canvased the mall and followed the victim to the parking lot. While the female associates and child entered a silver 4-door sedan, the suspect bear-sprayed the victim, attempting to steal her purse. The suspect then fled northbound to the awaiting silver sedan and departed with the female associates and child.
The suspect is described as male, wearing dark clothing, jeans and a mask.
