If you have been online and visited the Starland County website lately, you have probably noticed it has been upgraded.
Starland County thought the website needed a refresh according to Starland County CAO Christopher Robblee. “In 2023, Council approached me with a desire to see something more modern. Our website has been around for a number of years so it was time.”
The process was quite extensive bringing over the information to the new website notes Robblee. “It actually was quite an undertaking because the information that was in the old website didn’t want to transfer cleanly over to the new one. Then you’re trying to tie in mobile apps, like Voyent Alert which lets ratepayers know when roads down. Tying those things together was a challenge but the company that we selected, through an open tender process, did a good job.”
Users of the new website should find it easier to navigate comments Robblee. “I think that’s the hope. We did our best to show it to ratepayers to see what they thought and most wanted items two or three clicks away to find the information you’re looking for.”
The new website is up and running at www.starlandcounty.com.
