There has been a few changes to those on the board for Travel Drumheller.
Last week, Travel Drumheller hosted their Annual General Meeting at the East Coulee School Museum. Keri Looijen, Marketing Manager for Travel Drumheller shares why they chose to have their AGM in East Coulee this year. “We went out to East Coulee, instead of having one centralized location, we like to travel through all of our partners, especially if they have a big enough meeting space to accommodate an AGM or any one of our board meetings.”
As it was an Annual General Meeting, there were some changes when it comes to directors. Departing the board as their term has expired were Vance Neudorf of the Badlands Amphitheatre, BJ Janzen from the Rosebud Country Inn, Barbara Steeves from the East Coulee School Museum, and Crystal Sereda from Valley Brewing. “We are very thankful for those that have left the board and thank them for all their contributions.”
There are four new directors joining the board, Jessica Fleury-Schatz from the Atlas Coal Mine National Historic Site, Cheryl Taylor from the Badlands Trail Society, Tara Rosen of Bridgeviews, and Craig Hall, the Artistic Director with Rosebud Theatre.
Also presented was some of the accomplishments of Travel Drumheller over this past year. They share that they have seen a significant increase in digital reach, with over 4 million impressions on social media, marking an increase of over 400 percent from last year.
Looking ahead, Looijen shares that the organization is working towards setting their goals for 2025. “We are in the process of finalizing our strategic plan. This is what is going to guide us for the next three years. We have been working really hard on it since the fall of last year. We are really excited to launch that and will help us to keep us on track.”
