UPDATE: The Oyen RCMP advise that the suspect in the Oyen RCMP’s hit and run investigation in Bindloss has reported to the detachment. After continued interviews and investigation, this collision is not believed to have been intentional. Attempts were made by the young driver with their family to locate the owner following the collision.

Oyen RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of a hit and run collision involving two dogs. On Jan. 26, 2025, approximately 10:00 a.m., a white sedan travelling Westbound on Railway Avenue in Bindloss was observed accelerating and swerving off of the road intentionally striking, and killing 2 white great pyrenees dogs. The white sedan then fled the scene continuing West on Railway Avenue. The front end of the white sedan was significantly damaged as a result of this collision.
While Oyen RCMP investigate this incident we are asking for public assistance.
