The Drumheller Area Health Foundation has been in the Drumheller Valley for decades and now they have a new home in the Drumheller Health Centre.
Tom Zariski with the Drumheller and Area Health Foundation shares that the foundation has supported health care in Drumheller with equipment and program support for years . “The Drumheller Area Health Foundation has been supporting the Drumheller Hospital since 1994. Over 4 million dollars has been raised by the Health Foundation to basically contribute to the Hospital to their equipment, to their programs. It’s an immense great thing that the valley is doing, and not just the valley, the whole area.”
The new home is going to be showcased with an open house according to Zariski. “We are having an open house on January 15th from 1 to 4 PM and we’re inviting everybody to come in and see our brand new office. At the same time, you can look across the hallway and see our brand new digital donor wall.”
Fundraising is key for the Drumheller Area Health Foundation and Zariski notes that their biggest fundraiser of the year is coming soon. “We have our annual fundraising gala, which is really, really popular. This year it will be on Saturday, March 29th, at the Badlands Community Facility. This is one of our major fundraising efforts for the year. Every year we do a different theme and this year will be India. We will have all sorts of great Indian food and Indian entertainment.” Tickets for the event are available at the new office in the Drumheller Health Centre, from any board member, or via their website.
