At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 19, 2024, Drumheller RCMP, Hanna RCMP, EMS, Delia Fire Department, and STARS Air Ambulance were dispatched to an injury incident in the Village of Delia.
Emergency crews arrived on scene at the 200 block of 2 Avenue West to find two adult males with head injuries. One was air lifted to a Calgary hospital and the other was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
RCMP initiated an Impaired Operation of motor vehicle investigation and findings indicated that the two injured males were riding in the open box of a pickup truck when they fell off, striking the pavement. The driver of the pickup was arrested at the time and provided breath samples that exceeded the legal limit.

- Impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm x 2.
Reed is scheduled to appear in Drumheller Alberta Court of Justice on Dec. 13, 2024, to answer to the charges. Both injured males have since been released from hospital.
